YOUR PERSONALISED GATEWAY TO CUSTOM PLASTIC LAMINATE & ALUMINIUM TUBES
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Do you manufacture locally?

We would love to be a local manufacturer however we would require a significant commitment of annual order volumes to make this viable. As we grow, we will continue to look at the economic tipping point that would enable us to become a local manufacturer while we continue to support the global leading suppliers in Plastic and Aluminium tubes at cost competitive rates.
What is the minimum order quantity?

For Aluminium tubes the minimum order quantity is 10,000 pieces per SKU non-Printed or 20,000 pieces per SKU Printed.

For Plastic Laminate tubes the minimum order quantity is 5,000 pieces digital printed or 20,000 flexo printed per SKU.

Smaller production runs are usually not economically viable. Where possible, we recommend requesting pricing at the minimum order quantity even if it is more than you currently require and use that in your product costing calculation to see if it is viable.
How much do your tubes cost?

The tube cost is based on the final specifications and due to the range of specifications and options, pricing is calculated upon request. We can provide indicative pricing on basic specifications including tube dimensions (Length and Diameter), tube material (Aluminium/Plastic), Cap type, Quantity, Printed Colours, shipping requirements.
How quickly can you supply the tubes?

Once final specifications and any required artwork is signed off, production lead time is usually between 4-8 weeks and sea freight shipping timeframes are typically 4 weeks (excluding customs clearance and local delivery).
Do you supply containers (jars/bottles/sachets)?

Currently we do not supply plastic or glass rigid containers or plastic/foil sachets however, we have in the past identified suitable suppliers in these formats and can pass this information on.
Can I get custom sizes and/or custom caps?

Yes, customisation is available. Please note that this will incur extra costs and there are some production line physical limits that cannot be changed with existing equipment. We strongly recommend aiming to utilise one of the existing tube sizes and cap styles.
Will you fill the tubes with my product?

Pharmapac is not a contract filler organisation. If you are unable to fill and seal the tubes then we recommend utilising a contract filler service.
Will my product be suitable for the tube material?

This is something that you will need to determine. Testing of your product with the tube material and cap must be either conducted with your own research and development team or outsourced to a professional testing organisation.
Are your products recyclable?

In general terms the Aluminium tubes are recyclable (excluding the caps), and many of the plastic tubes are now recyclable and/or are made from recycled product.
Plastic recycling is continually evolving and in Australia is supported by APCO, who work with Brand Owners to provide the ARL approval. There can be a number of factors that will impact the actual recycling approval, and this is done through the PREP process by the Brand Owner. It important to note that recycling status is provided through the APCO ARL process however, what happens between kerbside collection and the Material Recycling Facilities can differ by state and local council.
